Financial Aid Workshop Checklist

For those of you who have signed up for our SUNY Orange Admission and Financial Aid Night on Tuesday, March 1st, here are a few important reminders:

The event will start a 6pm at Middletown High School.

Both the student and the parent should be in attendance.

Due to time constraints, we advise that both the parent and student obtain their FSA ID online prior to the Financial Aid Workshop.  You can request your FSA ID number online at www.fafsa.ed.gov .  
It is imperative you do this as soon as possible!


YOU MUST BRING THE FOLLOWING TO THE WORKSHOP:
  • Chromebook
  • Student FSA ID (You should request your ID online at www.fafsa.ed.gov  ASAP)
  • Parent FSA ID   (You should request your ID online at www.fafsa.ed.gov  ASAP)

YOU MUST BRING COPIES OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS:
  • Copies of Student 2015 federal tax return (if required to file)
  • Copy of Student 2015 state tax return (if required to file)
  • Copy of Student 2015 W-2’s
  • Copies of Parent 2015 federal tax return (if required to file)
  • Copy of Parent 2015 state tax return (if required to file)
  • Copy of Parent 2015 W-2’s
  • Documentation of any untaxed income received in 2015 for either student or parent (i.e. S.S.I., workers compensation, public assistance, disability)

Two Workshops: One Night!


The College and Career Center and SUNY Orange Present:
Two Workshops - One Night
Tuesday, March 1st at 6:00pm

Senior students and parents have their choice of two workshops we will be hosting at Middletown High School.  Registration is required and seating is VERY limited.  This program is for seniors only.

*If you have already applied to SUNY Orange or if you are not interested in attending SUNY Orange, we recommend you register for Choice 2: Financial Aid Assistance only.

MHS SAT Prep

Middletown High School will be offering SAT prep courses beginning this March.  The prep courses will go over both the Math and Critical Reading portions of the exam.

There is an information meeting Tuesday, February 23rd at 2:30 in Room 251.

Classes will run in the evening from 6:00-8:00pm.  The registration fee is $100 and cash, check, or money order is accepted.  A textbook is also required: The Official SAT Study Guide (2016 Edition).
